Grand Strand High School Theatre
Every show we put on happens in the 682-seat St. James High School Auditorium, right off Highway 707 in Murrells Inlet.
If you’ve ever driven past the stadium lights on 707, you’ve driven past our theater. It’s been home to every musical, play, cabaret and revue St. James has produced since the doors opened in 2003. Students build the sets. Students run the lights. Students sew the costumes, call the cues, and walk out under them. All you have to do is show up and sit down.

Live high school theatre on the Grand Strand
Six hundred and eighty-two seats, a real stage, and a lighting board our tech crew knows better than most adults know their own kitchen. This isn’t a cafeteria with a curtain across one end. It’s a theater, and the students working in it are treated like they’re working in one.
We’re Troupe 6984 of the International Thespian Society, and we stage four productions a year: a fall musical, a holiday cabaret, a spring musical, and a senior send-off Broadway Revue.
